Big Thanks for 2010
2010 has been a big year for our team with lots of change.
Our Amateur team has really grown and we have seen some brilliant additions into it, James Riley, Tig and Matt Byrne have really made a big impression on the MAX show and Amir picked up gold at the Combat Base interclub NO-GI. Next year is looking good for us, Nav, Nate and a whole bunch of new guys looking to pick up some more wins for Fulinkazan.
Semi Pro’s have had a mix of results but the highlight’s of the year for me had to coming away from Fight Star in Leeds with 4wins and 0 Losses!!!! And James Doyle beating Burnley Brawl’s Welter weight champion on Dec Williams show. Andy Wilcock picked up some impressive wins and Nigel Halmshaw picked up a Belt in Burnley Brawl.
Now to the Pro’s !!!! one of the proudest days in my coaching life was taking Kam and Qas to there first fights Qas picked up the win while Kam lost a narrow decision, only to revenge the loss on his way to picking up the Gold in the Grapple mania under 70kg Advance category. Qas not to be out done won both the Under 87kg adv and the Open weight.
I guess the biggest change for use has been opening our own gym! We add Kam, Arki and James Doyle to the coaching staff and Dave and Waz still contributing … big thanks to all the coaches.
The biggest help this year has to go to my wonderful lady Marie, a lot of people don’t see the hard work she does behind the scenes as well as been the lovelly Lady who takes your money. The Gym would not have happened with out her help.
